3 Tips to Help you Turn Story VIEWS Into SALES on Instagram

FILED IN: Uncategorized

Are you getting sales on Instagram?

How about selling in your Stories?

If not, what’s holding you back?

→  Does even the sight of that word ‘sell’ make you start to sweat?

→  Are you seriously intimidated at the thought of ‘sales’?

→  Do you have no idea where to start?

I’ve heard from SO many of my students that selling is something that is tough for them & they struggle to use Instagram to actually make sales.

If you can absolutely relate, don’t worry. You’re in good company because a ton of people who are part of the Soul Fox family feel that way too.

But the good news is…selling on Instagram doesn’t need to be scary or intimidating. It doesn’t need to feel gross or sleazy. It can be something that’s super fulfilling and it’s something that actually allows you to serve other people…

…IF you do it right!

When you want to use Instagram to help you sell your products or services to your audience, you need to focus on creating 3 types of Stories if you want the best results:

‘Know’ Stories, ‘Like’ Stories, and ‘Trust’ Stories

Let me break it down for you!

In order for people to buy from you, they need to first like you, feel like they know you, and trust you enough to invest in whatever it is that you are selling. If you want to be more effective at selling to your audience, you need to create content that helps you in all three of those areas.

To put it super simply, you need to be posting Stories that help you get your followers to know you, like you & trust you.

→  When people feel like they know you, they are so much more likely to buy from you because they have a real connection with you.

→  When people feel like they like you, they are so much more likely to buy from you because they are genuinely interested in you & your business.

→  When people feel like they trust you, they are so much more likely to buy from you because they see you as an authority in your niche.

You don’t need to feel like you’re being super annoying & pushing your products or services on people. You don’t need to have the PERFECT scripted pitch or else you won’t get anyone to buy from you. You don’t need to spend all your time DMing people with that ‘Hey, girl” message on Instagram.

Instead, you can use your Stories to help you build the ‘know, like, trust’ factor with your audience so that your content helps you sell without realllllly selling. Here’s how…

Post ‘Know’ Stories

Stories are the perfect place to really connect with your audience. You can use them to talk directly to people, ask questions, take polls, and seriously get to know your followers and let them get to know you. This is one of the most important things you need to do in order to sell to your audience!

Here are 3 ways you can use your Stories to build a connection with your audience & get them to feel like they really know you!

1: Share A Challenge

2: Show Behind The Scenes

3: Host A Q&A

Post ‘Like’ Stories

Like I mentioned earlier, you need to be posting content that lets your followers feel like they know you well enough to genuinely like you if you want to sell on Instagram. Your people will look forward to your posts every time you upload and be so excited to see what new products you are releasing and to find out how they can support you and your company. Your Stories are one of the features on Instagram that you can use to get people to like you!

Here are 3 ways you can use your Stories to let your audience get to know you enough to like you:

1: Share Your Opinions

2: Tell Your Story

3: Show Yourself Doing Activities You Love

Post ‘Trust’ Stories

The last thing you should be using your Stories for is to help you build trust with your audience. When you show up every single day to talk directly to your people, you are teaching them that they can count on you and that they can turn to you as an expert in your niche. This is what you need in order for people to buy from your business.

Here are 3 ways you can use your Stories to build trust with your audience:

1: Share Tutorials

2: Share Testimonials

3: Showcase A Before & After

But I want you to keep something else in mind, too. You need to stay consistent! You should be posting to your Stories on a regular basis if you want your followers to be engaged & you want your Stories to be the most effective at selling for you.
