The #1 thing you can do for your Instagram if you’re trying to boost engagement is to include a CALL TO ACTION in every single Reel.
If you’re wondering, “Sarah what’s a Call to Action, and is it really necessary?”, I am going to break it all down for you and then give you a list of 15 Calls to Action you can use for your Reels this month.
WHAT IS A CALL TO ACTION?
A Call to Action is exactly what it sounds like—a statement you include in your Reel that tells people what to do next. It gives them clear directions about how they should take action after they’ve finished watching your Reel. And friend, they are so, so important!
People need to be told what to do, otherwise, they are just going to keep scrolling without following, commenting, or sending you a message to find out more about your business. Your Call to Action helps you convert anyone who is enjoying your content and gets them to engage with you before they move on to the next IG post in their feed.
IS A CALL TO ACTION REALLY NECESSARY?
Yes, yes, yes! If you want people to take action, you have to tell them to! It’s an easy and seriously effective way to get people to do what you want them to do—whether that’s following you, leaving you a comment, buying your products or services, opting in to your newsletter, and the list goes on!
If you don’t include a Call to Action at the end of your Reel, your audience won’t know what to do next. They’ll assume that you don’t have any more information for them and that they can move on to something else. Instead, you need to be there reminding them that you are a valuable resource, that’s showing up to serve them—and that you want them to take action.
