Five apps for your Small Business

I wanted to take a minute to thank YOU for checking out my blog I am SO grateful to have you in my community & absolutely love showing up to serve you & your business. I am feeling extra grateful today because I have been thinking about just how much support it takes to create & run a successful small business. Even if you’re a one-person company, you need so many resources to make things happen!

Having an amazing community of followers is definitely something that has empowered me to grow my business, but, I also use a handful of apps that make small business life so much easier. They make it possible for me, as a busy mom of three, to keep showing up to help you & other female entrepreneurs like you every day.

Because NO ONE can do it all alone, I wanted to share my everyday essential programs that help me stay on top of EVERY aspect of my business. These are the apps you NEED to be using for your small business, too:

#1 Trello

Have you tried Trello, yet? If you’re a part of the Soul Social then you know just how much I use Trello in my business because Seth recently featured this app in his ‘productivity training.’ If you haven’t heard about it before, I promise you’re going to want to sign up! Trello is the ultimate organization tool.

As a small business owner, you’re juggling so many projects at once & it can be easy to get distracted or to forget things — especially the details! The way I stay organized is by using Trello to plan my projects. It is so helpful when it comes to focus & prioritizing my tasks because I can easily see every single thing I need to be working on. Trello is definitely is a must-have app if you’re an entrepreneur & you want help getting organized!

Bonus Mention: Google Suite

One of the reasons Trello works so well for me & my team is because we also use it in conjunction with Google Suite. It’s a powerful combo! I store all of my documents, info, graphics, and other files in Google Suite & easily sync them in Trello. This saves me SO much time because I always know exactly where my files are when I need them.

#2 Kajabi

I sent you this email using Kajabi! It’s an app that I use to serve my email subscribers, but I also use it in so many other ways. Kajabi is an online platform that you can use to help with your small business’ marketing efforts, to host digital products, to send out newsletters, & more.

My Soul Social Insiders access their monthly content in Kajabi. My online courses are hosted in Kajabi. It’s an app that has been invaluable to my company & I recommend you check it out—especially if you’re hoping to host online trainings or courses!

Bonus Mention: Showit

Do you have a website for your small business? Even if it doesn’t seem like you need one, friend, I promise you will benefit from having a website. I use Showit for my website because it’s super simple to design everything exactly the way I want it to look. It’s drag & drop and requires absolutely zero previous experience to get started. Seriously!

#3 Loom

Another app I use for my business is Loom. It lets you record video that you can save, send, upload & use however you need to. As someone who often works on the weekend or after my kids are in bed, Loom has been so helpful because I can send & watch video messages to keep in touch with my team! I also use Loom to record my online trainings & courses. If this is something you want to pursue in your business, you need to try Loom—it makes recording videos so simple.

Bonus Mention: Slack

If you’re a solopreneur & you don’t have anyone else on your team, you probably don’t need to keep in touch with people during your workday. If you do have a team of collaborators, I can’t tell you how much I love Slack. It’s what I use to talk to my team! We can message each other without emailing, calling, or getting into a meeting.

#4 InShot

Let’s talk about what I use to edit my Reels! I do a lot of editing right in the Instagram app, but I absolutely love using InShot, too. It makes filming seamless transitions so simple & has made it possible for me to take advantage of editing trends that take my Reels to the next level. If you don’t have a lot of video editing experience, this is the perfect app for you because it’s straightforward & easy to use. I highly recommend you try InShot to help you make Reels—because they are such an important part of your Instagram strategy!

Bonus Mention: VLLO

This is another app that makes filming, editing & uploading Reels a breeze. VLLO has both a free & a paid option, so you can test it out to see if it’s helpful to you as you’re creating content. I love to use VLLO along with InShot & the Instagram app because all three tools make it possible for me to create Reels that will really serve my audience & that are entertaining to watch!

#5 Canva

If there is one app on this list that I think you need the most, it just might be Canva! Friend, it’s a no-brainer when it comes to creating graphics for any area of your business. I use Canva every single day to help me in so many areas of my business. I use Canva to create email graphics, Instagram carousels, training decks, and everything in between. And it’s free!

But, if you do choose to subscribe & pay each month for added features, you’re able to resize graphics so you can seamlessly use them in multiple places & schedule posts to your social media accounts right from the Cavna app. Canva is an amazing tool for anyone who’s not a graphic designer but still wants gorgeous graphics for their business!

Bonus Mention: Adobe Create Suite

Even though I use Canva for the majority of the graphic design I do in my business, there are still times when Photoshop comes in handy! It can’t be beaten for retouching or adding filters to photos & creating mockups. And don’t stress if you don’t have much experience using the program. There are so many amazing tutorials you can find online to help you get started using Photoshop & that teach you the basics.

I hope you found this list helpful, because I know I would have a much harder time getting things done without the help of these apps! Tag me @soulfoxliving on Instagram & tell me which apps you use for your small business, too!
